Democracy and egypt

The article from Al Jazeera is reporting that the government of Egypt is releasing protest prisoners and 34 political prisoners .The Government promised to end the Anti-Government protest. The government withdrew their security forces from the street after they couldn’t control the protesters on January 28th. Most of the prisoners had been in jail since Mubarak became leader after they assassinated Anwar Sadat by soldiers that were in an Islamist group in 1981. Nobody really knows how many people are in prison for political activities or for protesting but they estimate that it’s in the thousands. Mubarak has tried to stop the protesting around the country by putting a vice president and a new cabinet of people in place. But the people just want Mubarak to step down and leave the country.

This image talks about how the people want Freedom in Egypt and for the F in Freedom they used the Facebook sign because they way they spread the word about protesting was throw facebook and tweeter.

In February 1st President Obama has sent a Envoy and a U.S diplomat to meet with Hosni Mubarak to talk about the protesting in Cairo and also around the country. The both men where familiar to the area Mubarak has meet them in the lavish palaces in Heliopolis. They started off talking about the peace in the middle east then the Americans gently raised the issue of political reform. Mubarak told them that with out him Egypt will fall. The American diplomat told Mubarak that “it was time for the transition to begin”. That was a message Obama has sent to tell him. Then after the meeting president Obama and Mubarak spoke on the phone. Obama told Mubarak to keep the protest with non-violence but a day later it turned violent in Cairo. Then a revolution was taken place for the next few weeks. Now the whole world as all eyes on Egypt and Mubarak. Egyptians say that Jan. 25th is the beginning of the End of Mubarak after his 30 year reign. People say can their be a democracy in a Arab world.

Anwar El-Sadat and Hosni Mubarak are not known for their kindness and their corruption in officials and showing mercy to their victims seem quaint today given the cruel. Egypt is the most advanced dictatorship in the Arab world. The country has spies watching Residents foreign businessmen the Westernized Egyptian Elite and the American University of Cairo now intellectually withered, where Egyptian and Western academics have exercised extraordinary caution in imparting disruptive ideas or criticism of the ruling family Mubarak. Mubarak thinks that Egypt at peace with Israel could attract billions in U.S. aid, regardless of the regime’s human rights record, and billions more from tourism. The poor and the Middle class have had enough so started a massive demonstration in Tahrir square.

The U.S Secretary Of State Hillary Clinton went to Egypt to meet with Libyan rebels she is the most senior Official to go visit that region. She went to convey the support of the people and for Obama’ Aministration. The U.S wishes to be part of the transition to the new democracy. Hillary said that we have an enormous stake in ensuring that Egypt and Tunisia provides them the kind of democracy that they wanna see. Hillary was in Egypt to personally assess the situation in Egypt an gave support to the protesters who will ultimately over throw and resignation of President Hosni Mubarak. The Military is taking over the country temporary while the government makes a constitution and a new election for both parliament and President. Clinton is consulting with Libya’s neighbors on pissible next steps against Gaddafi. The military are striking against the rebels it is callin for international action. The united states has joined relief efforts but hasint suggested military response but including a No-Fly zone over the country.

The People of Egypt are ready for a new living they want rights and constitution. They are tired of the corruption thats in the government so they protested untill Mubarak had to give up his Power as Leader of Egypt. The articles all talk about how the people protested all around the country but mostly in Cairo. they would'nt stop untill they got what they wanted and by using technology they gathered alot of people in facebook and tweeter. Now after Mubarak has steped down the military has control untill elections but egypt will have a President a vice President and a new Cabinet with out corruption.
